It also offers enterprise-level performance and scalability for up to 24 internally attached SAS and SATA drives. The Gen10 controllers are supported by the HPE Smart Storage Battery. The HPE Smart Storage Battery supports multiple devices and is sold separately.

HPE MR Storage Administrator manages up to 24 drives directly connected to the HPE Smart Array P824i-p MR Gen10 Controller without the need of an expander card.

Enterprise Data Protection

The HPE Smart Array P824i-p MR Gen10 Controller includes built-in data protection with 4 GB Flash-Backed Write Cache (FBWC) to back up data in case of a power failure.

Supports advanced RAID levels, including RAID 5, 6, 50, and 60, for advanced data protection in case of a drive failure.

Enterprise-level Performance

The HPE Smart Array P824i-p MR Gen10 Controller uses Fast Path to accelerate performance on solid state drives (SSDs) for random read/write workloads.

Increases performance with CacheCade by caching hot data from hard disk drives (HDDs) onto higher performing SSDs.

Offers 12 Gb/s SAS technology that uses the PCI Express 3.0 interface for increased performance.
